Honorable Irons
About Us Adam Ciferri Josh Ford Links

Josh Ford began tattooing in Denver, Colorado in 1997. Having a good apprenticeship under very motivated artists, the only thing he lacked was a good understanding of machines. After about 5 years of tattooing and a couple years of blindly trying to figure out the mechanics of the tool, he started to look for knowledgeable help.

Josh began to correspond with Adam Ciferri through emails around 2001. After getting some help through those communications, Josh eventually travelled to stay with Adam in 2003 for a short stint of help and learning in Adam's machine shop. From there on, Josh and Adam became closer friends and the exchange of knowledge continued.

Another big influence for Josh is Joey Desormeaux. Josh first met Joey at some conventions and eventually they became friends and Joey became another mentor in the development of Josh's learning. Josh considers Joey to be not only one of his mentors but one of his closest friends (you can check Joey out at www.infiniteirons.com).

After a handful of years of tuning, rebuilding and modifying machines, Josh began to produce his own machines in early 2006. The name Honorable Irons was picked for the moniker of his machines, and eventually in 2008, Josh joined forces with Adam Ciferri to make Honorable Irons more of a company than a hobby.

Honorable Irons is something that Josh is very passionate about, and takes much pride in. With an unstoppable drive and dedication, there are sure to be many reliable machines from Josh in the future.
